O u r c o o p e r a t i o n

We created the cooperation of vine growers and winemakers of the Troodos Geopark area in order to highlight the vine and wine products derived from our mountain vineyards that reach up to 1,501 meters. The largest area of vineyards at high altitudes is located in Pitsilia area ranging between 1,000 to 1,501 meters, with slope gradients exceeding 30%.

This cooperation is joined by vine growers and winemakers, who manage and process grapes from vineyards at altitude of more than 800 meters. We also support vine growers that sell fresh grapes of the Mavro variety grown at altitudes above 800 meters known as ‘Ambelissimo Pitsilias’.

The conditions for participation in the Vines above Clouds – Troodos Geopark – Cyprus cooperation are:

Vineyards must be located at altitudes of more than 800m, within the boundaries delineated by the UNESCO Troodos Geopark.
Vineyard slope gradients must exceed 20%.
Wineries and grape processing facilities should be located at an altitude of more than 800m. (allowing for a maximum divergence of 5%) within the boundaries delineated by the UNESCO Troodos Geopark.
